Dear guests, dear friends,

We look back on a very intensive and successful summer season and thank all our guests for their great loyalty. With a lot of skill and empathy we were able to sail through this summer with our wonderful team. As Covid-19 unfortunately still keeps the whole world in suspense, the need for safety and health is undoubtedly the top priority. Highest safety and hygiene standards in all areas and always up-to-date are a matter of course for us - for the protection of our guests and our employees!

We are ready when you are

All guests mustwear a mouth-and-nose protection in the public areas of the hotel, in the restaurant & at the hotel bar (except at the table), i.e. everywhere where the minimum distanceof 2 metres cannot be maintained. You will feel most comfortable with your own mouth and nose protector. Therefore, please carry it with you at all times.

High contact points such as door handles and elevator surfaces as well as furniture in public areas are disinfected several times a day. In all our public areas and the areas for team members we use dispensers with hand disinfectants and practice social distancing.

We are only as strong as our teams

Our team members are very concerned about safety and measure your body temperature daily. In direct contact with guests or people, we always wear a mouth-and-nose protection and we keep a minimum distance to ensure your comfort and safety at all times.

It is important to us to take good care of you

The entire Hotel Zanker is exclusively available to our hotel guests. Updated seating plans in the restaurants allow guests to enjoy the full range of meals at a safe distance from all other guests, including buffets (10 sqm/room). As usual, we spoil our guests with the finest culinary delights, even more regional, seasonal and with respect for the environment. The members of our service team wear a mouth-and-nose protection at all times and our kitchen team practices strict cleaning procedures according to HACPP standards.

As new information becomes available, we continue to adjust our arrangements in consultation with public health authorities to ensure that we remain vigilant along the way and offer you the best possible stay.

In times like these, our team is there to guide you through uncertainties and at the same time ensure that you and your loved ones have a pleasant, unforgettable and above all safe stay in our home.

Scope of operations

All offers at the Hotel Zanker are still available to you. Certain areas could only be entered by measures of the Federal Government under observance of special security and hygiene measures. We ask for your understanding for this and point out that such restrictions do not justify any warranty claims, especially not for price reduction or withdrawal from the contract.

Indoor swimming pool/sauna/steam bath

Transmission of viruses via the bathing water is considered unlikely. A sauna strengthens the immune system and is a true fountain of youth, but we will refrain from infusions for the time being. We pay particular attention to the correct distance in the sauna and pool, and you are welcome to reserve the "sauna in private" at 1 hour intervals at the reception.

Culinary & Service

Our kitchen & service team will spoil you as usual with fine cuisine. Due to the size of our restaurants, you can fully enjoy the food on offer in our buffet landscape. Instead of the usual gala dinner we spoil you with a gala buffet - a real treat!

Steps we take

In accordance with the measures and in connection with the official guidelines we take the following steps:

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION

It is assumed that the primary route of transmission of the COVID-19 virus is via respiratory droplets, which are spread by an infected person by coughing or sneezing until a susceptible close contact within about 1-2 m is reached. Hygiene and cleanliness are our quality promise to you and our employees and have top priority. According to sophisticated cleaning and disinfection plans, the entire hotel is maintained. This includes among other things a

  • Significantly increase the frequency of cleaning frequently touched surfaces, e.g. handrails, tables, lift buttons, door handles, telephones ... using virucidal materials that are also approved by the Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Our employees in direct contact with guests wear face masks/visor and disinfect and clean their hands regularly.
  • Placement of additional dispensers of hand disinfectants at the workplace and in the common areas for guests, as well as in front of the buffet landscape.

STAY HEALTHY & REDUCE SPREAD

In order to protect against particular infections, we urgently request that guests and team members do so:

  • to isolate themselves and inform the hotel immediately by telephone if they develop a fever (38°C or higher), start to feel feverish or develop other signs or symptoms of illness.
  • Cover coughing and sneezing with a handkerchief or elbow. Dispose of used tissues immediately in a disposable container or a waste bin.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not immediately available, you can use the hand disinfectant provided until soap and water are available.
